Easy to Make Leather Loafers

Image
Last year I looked all over the place for an easy shoe pattern. I was quickly discouraged, and I remember saying out loud, I wish my favorite leather designer would design some shoes, because I know they would not only be cool looking, but the patterns would be easy to follow, and I knew the sizing would be perfection. Well, he outdid himself. Again. This is only the first pair for me. The only thing, I did differently from the the pattern directions was to bond leather (rough to rough) for the sole, giving the shoes a faux insole (I'm still going to add a thin Dr. Scholl's too), and I also cut out some anti-skid pads out of a piece of plastic-coated leather, I have. I used the sole patterns for the anti-skid pads and put them on the front and on the heel. These are a size 10.5/12 and I would say they may be a C-D width. Very comfortable. If you're interested in making a pair of your own, here's a link to the pattern: LINK
